Week 9. Qualitative research with Non-traditional Data.
My teacher said that she's gonna bring us some cakes this week. I was happy to see people having a small colorful cup cake on their table in the classroom. While the lecture started, I put my cup cake, a piece of bread(?) and a piece of white chocolate on the table then waited for a good timing EATING it!
Today's topic is Taste and Smell.
Several minutes later, the teacher said: "Okay, now let's start with the cup cake. Try it and write down some description of the taste!"
....Okay. so that's what the cake for!! I finally realized.xD

The politics of Knowledge.
talked about an article with one of my peers. it ended with 'the solution of changing the situation is to educate people' (in third-world countries, specifically) . I said that I agreed, but it's always problematic when thinking about 'taking what I've learned in the first world to educate my people in the third world'. It's always problematic. But, what else can we do? My friend said, 'True, but most knowledge and theories came from the first world countries. Even if we generate our own knowledge of the third world, will it be used, or accepted in the dominant academia?'
what to say? The politics of Knowledge.
